What’s the lingo?’
Lingo very similar to the game that took the world by storm, Wordle! This competitive game is designed to pit players against each other to complete puzzles at a fast pace. Contestants are divided into four teams of two.
Each team is tasked with trying to guess five-letter words, with only the first letter revealed. The first type works very similarly Wordle. If they find the correct letter in the word, the dot turns green and if they find the correct letter in the wrong place, it turns yellow. The fewer guesses needed to complete the puzzle, the more money the team wins. If a team runs out of guesses or suggests an “illegal” word, the other team has a chance to steal.
In the second round, the situation becomes more difficult for the teams. In this round, each team gets a ten-letter word and a clue. The more letters that are filled in before the team guesses the word, the less money they earn. RuPaul will be able to break out what are known as “Lucky Balls” during this tour, making things a little easier for the contestants. These are things like free cards or balls that allow you to play for extra money.
After that comes the face-to-face round. One member of each team gets five-letter words and the other gets six-letter words. If the green letters are not guessed, the player must give up control of the board. A final 10-letter face-off word determines which teams will begin the final, final round.
The final showdown has contestants and spectators on the edge of their seats. The team is given two minutes to guess five letter words worth 5 points and six letter words worth 10 points. The winner of the round will be entitled to both teams’ bankrolls and $50,000.
