It’s an interesting weekend for people, especially if they like Diablo.
Those with keys can jump into the Diablo 4 Early Access beta this weekend — if they can get in: the lines are very long. but Blizzard is working to fix this, so hopefully more people can get to Sanctuary soon. Until then, some of us will have to be patient.
Connor Makar, Staff Writer – Diablo 4 Beta
This weekend is about everything Diablo 4 beta during Friday and Saturday. I can’t wait to dive in and swim in this horror and gory action.
I’m heading to GDC in San Francisco on Sunday, so I’ll be on the plane for 11 hours. It will definitely be a lot of fun; however, on the bright side, expect some interesting articles starting next week.
James Bilcliffe, Guide Editor – Gran Turismo 7
I went to the World Rally Championship last month, so being as impressionable as a three-year-old, I’m into cars now.
Gran Turismo 7 this is the first console game (not on Steam Deck) that I’ve paid money for in a year, so I’ll continue to get my money’s worth in the races this weekend.
It’s a strange game so far. The presentation is surprisingly strange for a sport that is usually played as Xtr3me as possible; however, once you finally push through the doldrums of early racing and lounge jazz, it’s a top-notch accessible sim with a great selection of cars and tracks.
Kelsey Raynor, Author of Guides – Resident Evil 4 Remake
The cat came out of the bag I was playing with Resident Evil 4 Remakeand given I gave it a 5/5 review, I’m going to spend my weekend with New Game Plus. I plan to run Leon’s knife through the wringer and see how far I can get with just that and grenades. Watch this space!
In addition, I unfortunately got into Valorant Champions Tour again, which recently gave a start. As a result, I downloaded Valorant again for the first time in months and have been playing it most days since. It’s that time of year again! As long as I can avoid buying any makeup, that’s fine. It’s a shame that the new package looks so attractive.
Stephanie Nunneley-Jackson, News Editor – Diablo 4 Beta
This weekend I plan to jump in Diablo 4 Early Access Beta – if I can get into the game because of the queue time. Last night was a little rough. I waited about an hour to get in, only to get kicked about 10 minutes into it, which frustrated me to no end. However, this is beta and we all know how things go when everyone, their grandmothers and the neighbors dog want to take a tester. Especially if the beta version involves a popular franchise or a long-awaited game. Diablo 4 is both. So, I don’t blame Blizzard for anything. I’ll be back in line when I’m out here for the day. Hopefully I’ll get a taste before Sanctuary’s doors open next weekend for open beta testing.
Aside from Diablo 4, I’m considering playing Walheim. I recently purchased it through the Steam Spring Sale because I wanted to try it after it was released through Early Access. I like the game, I’m interested in the setting, and I want to see what all the fuss is about.
I play too Pokemon Go, since today is Community Day, starring Slowpoke. Things are a little different today, with Galarian Slowpoke evolving into Galarian Slowbro. Normally, to evolve a creature, you need to catch 30 Poison-type Pokemon with Galarian Slowpoke as your friend. But you’ll need to catch 30 types of Psychic while adventuring with the Galarian Slowpoke until 10pm today only. Wish me luck catching that many psychics while sitting at home waiting to get into Diablo 4. I think I might leave the house at some point. We’ll see what happens.

So that’s us this weekend. What is wrong with you? Are you jumping into the beta this weekend? If not, what do you play?
