While most gaming systems found in the Call of Duty: Warzone were transferred and reworked to function in the world Warzone 2, the backpack system is a new design solution of the developers. In the original Warzone, players automatically collected ammo, cash, and armor plates from the ground and defeated enemies, but they could not store additional items. in Warzone 2, Infinity Ward decided to change the system with upgradeable backpacks, allowing players to choose what they want to keep. And after killing an enemy, they drop a lootable backpack, allowing players to select specific items for future use. This new iteration of the heist is right next door Call of Duty: Warzone 2The new Armor Vest systemwas not welcomed by some of the players who claimed that success in Warzone 2 should depend on skill and timing, not RNG and stacking self-recovery kits and spare plates.

In season 2 Call of Duty: Warzone 2, Infinity Ward decided to remove upgradeable backpacks altogether, replacing them with each player generating limited inventory space. Additionally, the game now distributes loot around a defeated enemy instead of spawning a backpack. Reddit user Chieffelix472 posted a screenshot on the social media platform showing the current state of this loot. In the post, you can see Chieffelix472 standing over a defeated enemy, and instead of creating dropped items around the location, the weapons and ammo are just clustered together, making it much harder to sort through items at a glance.

Other players on the subreddit expressed their displeasure with the new system. The first comment makes it very clear how key items such as durable gas masks, kill streaks, and respawn kits can now get stuck under a defeated player, thus players waste time trying to loot. The consensus among the player base is that Infinity Ward needs to address the RNG of the rucksack finder and fix glitches with dropped rucksacks. Updated system in season 2 Call of Duty: Warzone 2 instead brings a new set of problems to the table without solving any of the previous problems.

The backpack and loot issue is one of the many issues currently plaguing the game, and Activision and Infinity Ward have already addressed, acknowledged and are working on these issues. For now, players will have to put up with messy loot while they bravely try new things Ashika Island map and Resurgence mode Call of Duty: Warzone 2Season 2.
