There will be two topics on the agenda this weekend, because Jones fights Cyrillic Gane inside UFC after 285 main events Valentina Shevchenko faces Alexa Grasso.
Jones is a former multi-time light heavyweight champion who failed multiple drug tests and had several conflicts with the law, but is still considered one of the greatest fighters in mixed martial arts history. The American returned to Octagon here after a three-year hiatus, finally making his long-promised heavyweight move.
Jones, 35, will fight French Gane, a former interim heavyweight champion. The division’s vacant belt is up for grabs after Francis Ngannou left the UFC in January, 12 months after he defended the gold against Gane and inflicted his first professional loss to the 32-year-old.
In the joint main event of UFC 285, Shevchenko defends the women’s lightweight title against Grasso, who entered Las Vegas on a four-game winning streak.

UFC 285 will take place on Saturday, March 4 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Early qualifiers will begin at 23:15 GMT (3:15 pm PT, 5:15 pm CT, 6:15 pm ET) and qualifiers will be at 1:00 pm GMT (5:00 pm PT, 7 pm CT) on Sunday, March 5. , Saturday 20:00 ET) will begin.
The motherboard is then scheduled for 03:00 GMT on Sunday (19:00 PT on Saturday, 21:00 CT, 22:00 ET).
