Ubisoft star Wars the title may not be in a galaxy far, far, far away. In fact, it may be traveling around the Milky Way as we speak.

In other words, the game isn’t too far away from release, according to the sources we spoke to Kotaku.

Since there is no video for the game yet, check out episode 52 of The Best Games Ever Show.

In its latest presentation to investors, Ubisoft said that its 2023-2024 lineup will include new releases from big brands and long-term live games (slide 14).

These include Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Rainbow Six Mobile, Skull and Bones, The Crew Motorfest, The Division Resurgence, XDefiant and “another big game.”

According to Kotaku’s sources, the Star Wars title is a “big game” featuring Ubisoft.

Announced in 2021, as Project Helix is known, is an open-world game developed in collaboration with The Division maker Ubisoft Massive. According to Kotaku’s sources, the game isn’t “progressing well,” and despite the company’s ambitions to release a Star Wars game within the current fiscal year, it likely won’t happen.

This means that the game will most likely be released during the company’s next fiscal year, starting in April 2024 and ending in March 2025. That would still put it in a 2024 release, unless it slips past Christmas and into March 2025. You just never know.

Last year, Ubisoft was looking for people living in or near Malmö, Sweden, to play a Star Wars title. Aside from this and the initial announcement, no additional information about the title has been released.

That could change next month when the company holds one of its own Ubisoft Forward will be broadcast on June 12. More information about the showcase is expected to be released prior to the event.
