A dystopian tabletop RPG Sleeping Citizen will receive the third and final DLC episode at the end of the month. DLC for Citizen Sleeper was first announced last summer after launch content roadmap, and with Episode: Flux and Episode: Refuge just around the corner, it’s time for Episode: Purge, free for all owners on March 30. The Purge introduces a new story arc along with more characters, locations and story.

Details on Episode: Purge are sketchy, but we do know that it will expand on the story from the first two updates. The developer of Jump Over The Age says that “players returning to Erlin’s Eye may even run into some familiar faces!” The roadmap also teases that “the story of the Flotilla, the Eye, and the wider Helion system is reaching a turning point.”
While details are scarce, if Purge is anything like the main game, it’s going to be a great game. Citizen Sleeper was showered with praise when it was released last year and RPS was part of the flower throwing parade. In his reviewBrendan Caldwell called the game “a stylish machine with a gooey human heart”, and the hype lasted long enough for Citizen Sleeper to land on RPS. List of games of 2022.
My favorite RPS piece though is Citizen Sleeper Hayden’s specialty about how it made him less excited Starfield. Hayden reflects on the bleakness of the real world, how Citizen Sleeper works as a cathartic hope, and how Starfield’s endless galaxy feels tedious in comparison. That’s what made me finally download it RPGand with the latest update, it might be a good time for you too.
Citizen Sleeper is available now for £17/$20/€20 steam, and is also available on Game Pass. The free update will be available to all owners (and Game Pass subscribers) on March 30. The full version of the game will also be presented on PlayStation consoles on March 31.
