One Zelda a fan found a way to recreate the power of ice Breath of the wild in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. As Link must once again make his way around the kingdom of Hyrule to save it, he has collected several new abilities and even a new arm. However, the powers players received in the first game are nowhere to be found, meaning fans will have to use new tactics in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
This led to some frustration among the players Shaykh runes were quite favorable among Breath of the wild fans and were more or less dismissed for similar but different abilities like Recall and Ultraarm. However, on the other hand, the new features are very much loved by players as they enjoyed their improvised vehicles and rafts, and one fan even managed to create a new version of Link’s ice powers.
A player known as Ikani on Reddit realized that if Link fires an ice arrow into a body of water, it creates a small ice platform where the arrow lands. However, fans can use the Ultrahand ability to lift an ice block into the air and bring it back down to use Tears of the Kingdom new ability to Recall to lift Link to places he normally can’t reach.
In the comments, other fans offer even more tips and tricks, like how once the first platform is created you can use ice fusion on the weapon to make even more ice for bridges to run on water from. Those who have tried combining the two methods have said that it works just like the Cryonis rune, meaning that those who miss Link’s icy platforms should give it a try.
