star Wars is a series with iconic visuals, sounds, production, dialogues and more. One such iconic element is the villains. Even in video game form, there have been some great Star Wars villains. From Sith Lords to Inquisitors, Imperial soldiers, and bounty hunters, there have been many different villains from the Star Wars video games.
Movie characters like Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine have also made forays into the games. Although some of the iconic, greatest Star Wars villains are no longer canon in the Star Wars universe, their greatness is still evident, and some of them can also stand alongside legendary movie villains.
9 Gideon Husk – Star Wars: Battlefront 2 (2017)
Loyalty and devotion are two major themes in Star Wars, and both are embedded in Star Wars: Battlefront 2 by Gideon Husk, former member of Inferno Squad along with Iden Versio. When the mission required Eden to betray her people, she left Husk and the Empire behind.
Husk eventually became a high-ranking official in the Empire and eventually the First Order, his sense of betrayal festering within him. Gask was committed to his side, he truly believed he was the “good guy” in the war, and that’s what makes him such a great villain.
8 Boba Fett – Star Wars: Shadow of an Empire
Boba Fett is an iconic villain from the Star Wars movies and series. He has special armor and looks, has cool weapons and gadgets, and depending on where you see him, he’s often a calm, cool, and collected bad guy.
in Shadows of the Empire, Boba Fett appears as a boss fight. There he shows off his fighting skills and the large number of weapons at his disposal and shows how dangerous he is.
Boba Fett establishes himself as one of Star Wars’ greatest villains, despite not wielding the Force or a lightsaber.
7 Darth Nihilus – Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 – The Sith Lords
Many Star Wars villains have impressive and/or imposing looks. Even if you don’t know anything about them, you can tell they’re bad guys just by looking at them.
Darth Nihilus is both impressive and awe-inspiring. He is a creepy menace that slowly stalks you Knights of the Old Republic 2.
Nihilus had an endless hunger for power, a desire for more. As the game’s story progressed, it became clear that he wasn’t the main antagonist, but his master.
The master he believed had died by his own hand. Nihilus’ backstory is full of convoluted dark events and moments that make him more than a visually impressive bad guy.
6 Darth Sion – Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 – The Sith Lords
Like Nihilus, Sion has a unique look that elevates him and makes him far more interesting than he would otherwise be. Also, as Nihilus, he hunts you throughout the game, intent on killing you and proving himself.
By harnessing the dark side of the force, Sion is able to live an almost immortal life. The Force is literally the only thing holding his decaying body together, and the cost is a life of pain and agony, fueling the dark side even more.
Sion is also another bad guy pawn in the game, the main antagonist uses him throughout your journey.
5 General Rom Mohk – Star Wars: The Dark Forces
A veteran of the Clone Wars, Rom Mohk became a key official in the Empire. He was fascinated by cybernetics and technology, wanting to create soldiers capable of more than ever before, resulting in the first ever Dark Soldier.
The hero Kyle Katarn, a former Jedi, thwarted Mok’s hopes and plans, but only barely. Mok’s greatness is perfectly captured in The Mandalorian, a show that ripped plot points and character beats right out of Mok and inserted them into the show. While Mohk and almost everything that made him who he is is no longer canon, he continues to be a major influence on Star Wars.
4 Trilla Suduri aka Second Sister – Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
Once a Jedi Knight under Ser Junda’s tutelage, Trilla became an Inquisitor following the events of Order 66. After initially being captured and tortured at the hands of the Empire.
This exposed Trill to feelings and emotions of anger and hatred that helped push her towards the dark side of the force.
Under the leadership of Darth Vader and the Grand Inquisitor, she and other inquisitors made it their duty to hunt down and kill all remaining Jedi. A rage-ridden shell of her former self, the Second Sister, as she came to be known, lost all compassion and focused only on killing Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
3 Kreia aka Darth Traya – Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 – The Sith Lords
Kreia was once a Jedi Master who focused on training new, future Jedi, as well as learning everything there was to know about the Force. However, she was banished when her methods were questioned and her former student became Darth Revan.
You meet Cray in Knights of the Old Republic II, initially believing her to be a Force-sensitive elderly woman. She teaches you, guides and manipulates you throughout the game.
However, her goal was simple, as she wanted to rid the universe of power with your help.
2 Darth Malak – Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
Malak was once a Jedi. He and Revan formed a faction of the Jedi who then attempted to seize control of the Jedi Council and turned on the Jedi Order in the process. The war between the Jedi and the Sith began from that moment, and Malak proved himself a capable commander.
Seeking the Starforge, a means of destroying the Jedi, he and Revan continued their attacks on both the Republic and the Jedi. The altercation resulted in Malak losing his jaw at the hands of Revan’s lightsaber, giving Malak his iconic, towering appearance.
This eventually led to Malak turning against Revan and abandoning him to the Jedi.
1 Darth Vader – Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
Darth Vader is a Star Wars villain, everyone knows who he is, what he looks like and what he can do. He has also appeared in many video games, from one-on-one battles in Star Wars: Arcade to a virtual reality experience in Vader Immortal, there have been many encounters with the great evil in the universe.
in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, players got a chance to see a lot more of him than ever before. For the first time, players could see Vader as a host and even an ally.
In addition, the game’s unique display of force abilities allowed Vader’s power to become greater and more extravagant than ever before. Vader in Force Unleashed was the greatest Vader scary and threatening.
