Today is officially Pokemon Day and annual Pokemon Presents gave fans plenty of reasons to be excited about the coming year. But announcements aside, today is a great time to pick up Pokemon merchandise, as several major retailers are slashing prices to celebrate Pokemon Day, which celebrates the launch of the original Pokemon games in Japan.
If you’re looking to add some Pokemon games to your Switch library, consider checking it out Pokemon Shining Pearl, which is available for just $42, down from the usual $60. The remaster does a great job of staying authentic to the original while adding enough quality-of-life features and improvements to satisfy a new audience. Or you can hook New Pokemon Snap for $45 down from $60, building on the excellent foundation laid by the 1999 classic.
As for merch, there’s plenty to choose from. This includes a Constructor Mega Pokemon Ultimate Jungle Expedition this sees a price drop of almost $40 Constructor Mega Pokemon Charizard for $13, down from $22, and great case for transportation for $21, which can hold up to 800 cards.
