Chris Rock he’s about to make history tonight as he takes the stage at the Hippodrome Theater in Baltimore, Maryland. Not only will the comedian be returning for his second Netflix special and first since his hit Oscar hit, but it will also be Netflix’s first live global streaming event.
Titled Chris Rock: Chosen Ragethis will be Rock’s 6th stand-up comedy and his 2nd on Netflix, following 2018’s Tamborine directed by Bo Burnham.
“The Show Before The Show” and “The Show After The Show” revolve around his performance, featuring some of Rock’s comedian friends. The pre-show will be hosted by Ronnie Chieng, Arsenio Hall, Leslie Jones and Dean Cole. More performers are expected to wow the audience.
Amy Schumer, Cedric the Entertainer, Ice-T, Jerry Seinfeld, Kevin Hart, Matthew McConaughey, Sir Paul McCartney, Sarah Silverman and Wanda Sykes are set to perform. David Spade and Dana Kervey will co-host the after-show with Hall, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and JBSmuov.
The special marks the first of many live events to appear on Netflix.
