Strange things fans are eagerly waiting to see how this supernatural series ends with the upcoming fifth and final season. There’s no doubt that things are going to get really interesting for these characters, and in a recent tweet, the writers teased what’s going on in a very weird way!
The writing team described the next chapter of the story: “Season 5 is like Season 1 and Season 4 having a baby. And then that baby gets injected with steroids.”
Not sure what that means, but I’m on board with whatever it is and I can’t wait to see it! Some fans on social media are speculating that this means the Byers family, which includes Will, Jonathan and Joyce, will get more screen time in the new season.
While we don’t know much about what the story will entail, we do know that Will will be the “main focus” of season 5, as the final episodes “go back to season one.” Matt Duffer said before: “We’re starting to see her come of age, which has been difficult for a number of reasons; some of them unnatural. But you start to see her come into her own.”
Ross Duffer added: “I think you’re going to see that, not just with Will, but with multiple character arcs. But with Steve and Nancy, and his relationship with Jonathan, it’s not fully resolved. The characters are probably making strides.” In Will’s case, but that journey isn’t over yet. All of that plays a big role as we try to wrap it up next season.
Noah Schnapp also said: “I can tell you that I’m really excited about what’s to come. I think they did a great job with Will’s character this season and addressed everything they needed to do beautifully. The way they closed the show is really cool – – The story started with Will and it ends with Willy.
The scripts are still being developed and filming for the final season has not yet begun. The series is like that said he would continue shooting in late May or early June.
