Something is happening to the classic Blockbuster Video brand official website and his social networks accounts have been reactivated. Blockbuster Video is owned by Dish Network, and nothing has happened to it since its demise.
If you go to the website, you get a classic log that says “Please be courteous while we rewind” and “We are working on rewinding your movie”. Nothing more really, no other details have been revealed. But surely something is happening, we’ll have to wait and see what it is.
At some point, There was a blockbuster More than 9,000 locations, but in 2010 they filed for bankruptcy, and by 2014, almost all corporate stores of the chain were closed, and now only one survives in Bend, Oregon. There is a documentary about that shop.
I’m not sure what’s going on, but it’s safe to say they won’t be reopening any video stores. Maybe it will be another try streaming service? They teased something similar about a year ago.
I have no idea! It might not really be that big, but there’s definitely some buzz building! I hope it’s something great!
