Following Pokemon GO Community Day is coming up, and during this event trainers will be able to get their hands on a lot of Slowpoke, a dumb Water/Psychic type from the Kanto region. Galarian Slowpoke will also have increased respawns, which is an option with Pokemon Sword and ShieldGalar region. This Leisurely is no different except for the fact that its tail and top are yellow.

Like others Pokemon GO Community Days, that is the upcoming Slowpoke event will start on March 18th at 14:00 local time and will last for three hours, ending at 17:00 that same day. However, even after the three-hour period is over, there is still plenty to do.

Evolution of Slowpoke

Galarian_Slowbro

People will want to evolve as many Slowpokes as possible during the event to complete the Slow and Slower quests.

Usually, Slowpoke evolves into Slowbro with 50 Candy Slowpoke, and Galarian Slowpoke evolves into Galarian Slowbro with 50 Candy, but players must have Slowpoke as a friend and then catch 30 Poison-type Pokemon. However, from 2pm to 10pm on community day, Galarian Slowpoke will transform into Galarian Slowbro, catching psychics instead of poison.

And to turn a normal Slowpoke into a Slowking, players need to have 50 candies and the evolution item Kings Rock. And to transform a Galarian Slowpoke into a Galarian Slowking, players need to have a Slowpoke as a friend and catch 30 types of psychics.

Can Slowpoke be brilliant?

Regular Kanto version of Slowpoke there was already a shiny version of it available, but this event will be the first time that Galarian Slowpoke and its evolutions can be shiny.
