The Sea of Thieves season 9 release date and time is almost here and I know many of you scurvy sufferers are wondering when the new season starts. Well, that’s exactly what we’re going to talk about in this guide, along with some new content that you can look forward to. Well, let’s dive right into it!

When does “Sea of Thieves” season 9 begin.
Season 9 of Sea of Thieves will start on March 16, but the exact release date and time are still unknown. The previous season started at 9am ET, so it’s safe to assume the new season will start at the same time. That means 6:00am Pacific Time / 2:00pm Central European Time / 1:00pm UK Time. Again, we don’t know for sure, but this is the most likely launch time. We’ll be sure to update the guide with more official information when (and if) it becomes available. The update brings a lot, so let’s talk a little about it.
First, there are many changes in the quality of life. For example, the Fortune Chest will now be locked in the fort’s vaults. Returning them not only earns you a ton of gold, but also unlocks new Gratitudes that reward you with cosmetic items for your ship. Following the change in Sea of Thieves Season 9’s release date and time, Reefer and Reefer’s Bounty chest beacons will remain even after being picked up, meaning other players will have a better chance of stealing them from you.
Extreme events such as Ghost Ships, Megalodon, and Kraken have been rebalanced. Additionally, loot lost from ships sunk in the Devil’s Shroud will appear in a safer location at the very edge of the Shroud. Seagulls will now gather over sunken ships to make them easier to spot. There’s much more, including new cosmetics, activities, and more. Check it out official video for complete breakdown.
