There are only a few days left until the release of Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon, the prequel, spin-off of the popular action game. If you haven’t ordered your copy yet, you can pre-order Bayonetta Origins for just $49 at the Super Shop when using an exclusive GameSpot promo code GMSPTBYNT.

To cash in on the deal, go to Bayonetta Origin: Ceresa and the Lost Demon store page in Super Shop. You will see that the game is already listed at a discount ($55 instead of $60), but after adding it to your cart and using the promo code GMSPTBYNTit will fall to the end down to just $49–making this the cheapest way to get Bayonetta Origins at the moment.

Although Super Shop offers free shipping, which usually only takes a few days, you won’t get delivery on the day of release. But if you’re not playing on launch day, you can’t beat this deal. You will receive the game early next week.

Bayonetta Origins is a significant departure from the main series. You play as two characters, Ceres and Cheshire, while navigating a colorful world from an isometric perspective. There’s still action, but Bayonetta Origins focuses more on puzzles and storytelling.

Despite the significant changes in style and tone, Bayonetta Origins more than lives up to its name. It got a 9/10 in ours Bayonetta Origins Review.

“Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and The Lost Demon is a testament to thinking outside the box,” wrote critic Jessica Howard. “While I don’t suspect that Platinum Games will return to this new style of gameplay and storytelling in future Bayonetta games in the same way that Breath of the Wild or God of War (2018) changed the direction of their respective franchises, I can’t help but be grateful that the studio trusted their team’s vision enough to create this experience. Despite how fantastic every aspect of the game is, I can understand why the developer did this.”

As a prequel, you can enjoy Bayonetta Origins even if you haven’t played the other three games in the franchise. However, we strongly recommend playing all three. Bayonetta 3, which was released last fall, is marked down to $45 Amazon and Best buy now. In the meantime, you can grab the first Bayonetta game on PC (Steam) for $16.59 at Fanatical.
