Daniel Jones is one of the better running quarterbacks in the NFL.

Of all QBs who played at least 10 games last year, 27.1 rushing yards per game last year was the sixth most in the NFL. It ranks fourth this year with 43.0.

That’s why Saquon Barkley, an outstanding runner in his own right, gave the quarterback quite the nickname.

“Inside the NFL” aired a mic moment when Barkley nicknamed him “Vanilla Vick.”

Of course, the nickname is for Michael Vick, the tan Jones and perhaps the fastest quarterback of all time – if you played “Madden 2004” you would never have lost with the Falcons.

“If I break a long one, I’d better see Vanilla Vick downstairs,” Barkley tells Jones, huddled together.

Jones has helped the New York Giants hit an astonishing 7-2 record by scoring three fast goals this season. It will be their first playoff game since 2016.

The Giants run 164.8 yards per game, placing third in the NFL behind the Chicago Bears and Baltimore Ravens, both benefiting from fast QBs at Justin Fields and Lamar Jackson, respectively.
