The Asus Zephyrus G14 is my favorite gaming laptop with an AMD processor, and today the latest generation model is selling cheap at Best Buy. This spec includes a Ryzen 9 6900HS processor, a Radeon RX 6700S GPU, a 1TB NVMe SSD, 16GB DDR5 memory, and a 14-inch 1440p 120Hz screen. It’s an amazing price for this level of performance, all in a compact 14″ chassis that’s easy to carry around or work on the go.

My romance with the G14 has been going on for some time, but the latest generation of the G14, reviewed by James earlier this year, represents the absolute pinnacle of the Taiwanese company’s accomplishments. I tested the top-end version with the RX 6800S GPU, but the general lessons still hold – performance is strong, the machine is capable of running AAA games at 1440p 60fps, while esports games can make great use of the 120Hz refresh. evaluate. The screen looks great, with a taller 16:10 aspect ratio, good contrast and accurate colors, and the keyboard and trackpad work well too – great if you love reading train discount articles to take a completely random example.

Gaming battery life is the only real downside: James recorded less than an hour of use in Shadow of the Tomb Raider at maximum brightness… though the more modest components in that model should translate into longer life as well. Ray tracing isn’t a strong point either, as are other all-AMD builds, and the lack of DLSS is a shame in a world where FSR 2.0 hasn’t hit mainstream yet despite relatively good results. However, these are fairly common flaws among other laptops with the same specs, so there’s not much to complain about about Asus’ design choices.

If you’re looking for a gaming laptop, check out a few G14 reviews, including ours! – and consider buying it while it’s available at a discounted price!
