Manchester City travel to Germany to continue Champions League campaign as they get RB Leipzig in the first leg of their last 16 draw. Pep Guardiola he’ll be hoping that his side will brush up on his feelings Giving Nottingham Forest a late equalizer last time and respond with a superb performance against the Bundesliga team.
City advanced through the group stages, remaining undefeated in all six games. On their way to top Group G, they played four wins and two goalless draws against FC Copenhagen and Borussia Dortmund. It’s no secret that Guardiola wants to win the Champions League with City reaching the final and halfway through. Although he has played in the final in this competition for the last two seasons, his team faced a determined side tonight in Leipzig.
RB Leipzig’s European campaign started badly. They lost their first two matches to Shakhtar Donetsk and Real Madrid, but a streak of four wins allowed them to qualify for the qualifying rounds. Germany is in fifth place in the Bundesliga, beating Wolfsburg 3-0. Can they make trouble for City tonight?
