Polyphony Digital has announced the arrival of new content Gran Turismo 7 as part of update 1.29. The latest update introduces a virtual reality mode for PlayStation 5 players, new modes, new cars to drive and more.

Thanks to A The PlayStation Blogwe know that PlayStation 5 players who own a PS VR2 can access a new area called the VR Showroom from their garage or other in-game car showroom. With PS VR 2, players can see HDR tonal mapping and use a new eye-tracking feature that reproduces the areas of the screen they’re looking at. In addition, PS VR 2 will also support dynamic 3D audio for a more immersive experience.

The update will also introduce a limited-time Sophy Race Together mode that will only be available to PlayStation 5 users. This mode will be available from February 21st until the end of March, and will pit players against GT Sophy in a series of four tracks. Players can also compete against GT Sophy in 1VS1 mode, where they will drive against an AI in another GT Sophy with the same stats.

In addition to the new mode, Grand Valley returns to the series with an updated look. Highway 1 will be a passage from high-speed sections with hard turns. There will also be a layout 2,000 meters to the south, which will have even stricter conditions.

Along with the update, five new cars will be introduced. Players will be able to drive the following cars:

  • Honda RA272 ’65
  • Italdesign Exeneo Vision Gran Turismo Street and Off-Road mode
  • Citroën DS 21 Pallas 70
  • Porsche 911 Carrera RS (901) ’73

Finally, Drift Stage and Move The Camera Up And Down have been added to the features section. Also introduced is drift photo support and a tutorial to help you with drift photos.
