Update (Fri 26 May 2023 15:00 BST): After dropping the first installment last week, PlatinumGames today released the second chapter of its DLC for The Wonderful 101: Remastered, titled “The Wonderful One: After School Hero.”
The latest addition features the same side-scrolling gameplay as its predecessor (which is still a direct contrast to what we’ve come to expect from The Wonderful 101), continuing Luke’s story as he strives to become a full-fledged superhero. Just like the first part, this expansion is completely free.
The second installment has several new features, including a caravan mode that gives you five minutes to get the highest score, as well as online leaderboards so you can see how you stack up against everyone else.

Original article (Fri 19 May 2023 12:00 BST): PlatinumGames today announced the release of brand new DLC for the 2020s The Wonderful 101: Remastered finally available for download. What’s more, this new content — originally promised as an extra goal through the game’s Kickstarter campaign — is completely free.
The first part of the DLC is available to download today, and the story will continue next week when the second part is released May 26.
Titled “The Wonderful One: After School Hero,” this new DLC follows Luke’s journey to becoming a full-fledged superhero. The trailer above advertises the Super-Duper-Funny Side-Scrolling Laser Shooter DLC (exciting, huh?), and from what we’ve seen, there’s definitely a fair amount of laser shooting on screen — though your details on , like “super duper fun”, which may vary.
Of course, this side-scrolling gameplay is a bit different from what the base game has to offer — which is more about character action as you command an army of 100 to fight baddies and solve puzzles — but we’re always interested in seeing an expansion like this before that, push the boat out.
