Outer Wilds Launch Trailer for Xbox Series/PS5

Previously released on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, the open-world game has you exploring your surroundings, tracking down mysterious signals, deciphering ancient alien scripts and toasting marshmallows.

In the game, you play as a newcomer to Outer Wilds Ventures, a space program looking for answers in a strange, ever-evolving solar system. You’ll visit planets with hidden locations that change over time, travel to an underground city before it gets swallowed up by sand, and explore the surface of a planet that might even crumble under your feet.

Outer Wilds began as a student project by creative director Alex Beacham, and the alpha version of the project won the Seamus McNally Grand Prix and design excellence awards at the 2015 Independent Games Festival. Since its release, it has received numerous industry awards including accolades.
