MANILA, Philippines – The National University Bulldogs donated their jerseys to auction to help Joshua Retamar’s ailing grandfather.
This UAAP Season 85 Finals MVP When NU swept through the last men’s volleyball tournament to complete a historic ‘three peat’, the game’s jersey launched an auction. The starting bid for the kit starts at Php 5,000,
Retamar is currently raising money for the hospitalization of his grandfather, who is battling various illnesses.
“I steal your heart for your participation in the auction we held to raise funds for my Lolo’s hospitalization. “He’s fighting for his life right now and any support will help pay for his bills.”
“My teammates have generously donated their jerseys for this auction, which includes my UAAP Season 85 jersey that I wore when we won the championship on May 14,” he added.

Alongside the auction, the setter’s family also accepts donations through Gcash.
The jerseys of Michaelo Buddin, Nico Almendras, Ken Malinis and Louis Lumanlan are up for auction.
Buddin currently has the highest bid at Php 10,000 at the time of posting.
Taiwan MVP and champion Bryan Bagunas also auctioned off the Oita Miyoshi Japan V.League jersey and all proceeds went to Retamar and Kim Dayadante’s stage 3 cancer-fighting sister.
As of the announcement date, the highest bid for Bagunas’ jersey is Php 50,000.
