Microsoft brazenly pointed out the fact that many of today’s big PlayStation Showcase announcements there were also games playable on the Xbox Series X/S.
Metal Gear Solid Delta’s MGS3 remake, Bungie’s new project Marathon, Alan Wake 2, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, and Dragon’s Dogma 2 may not have had Xbox logos in their trailers during Sony’s show, but they’ll all be coming to Xbox, as noted in Twitter by Microsoft.
This tweet, posted right after Sony’s show ended, was clearly meant to be a bit of fun. But it also highlights how much of tonight’s PlayStation Showcase will be available elsewhere.
EA-published charming FPS Immortals of Aveum, Ghostrunner 2, charming indie game The Plucky Squire, voxel game Teardown, Cat Quest: Pirates of the Purribean and The Talos Principle 2 will be coming to Xbox along with Neva, the next project from creator Gris.
What won’t be on Xbox? Fairgame$ is a colorful heist shooter from recently recruited PlayStation Studios Haven. Nor will Helldivers 2, which looks set to be republished by PlayStation itself. Final Fantasy 16 is, of course, a major console exclusive from Square Enix, whose Splatoon-like Foamstars also appear to be PlayStation-only. And last but not least, Spider-Man 2.
