If our daily Microsoft Flight Simulator news you didn’t have enough, FlightFX just made a new announcement on their Discord server which can be the icing on the cake. The developer is working on the Piaggio P.180 Avanti II.
There is currently no further information available on the super-sleek executive turboprop aircraft, known for its propellers in a pusher configuration, making it quite a unique sight at any airport. We just know it’s coming, and we can see some screenshots of the model for you to enjoy below.
Keep in mind that these are 3D renders of the model, so they do not contain the final textures and are not yet in the simulator.
The Piaggio P.180 Avanti II is the second iteration of the Italian Piaggio P.180 Avanti, which first flew in 1986 and was first introduced to the dealership market in 1990.
Powered by twin Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-66B turboprops and an all-glass cockpit, its configuration actually makes it faster than many similarly sized business jets. The plane is used not only for official transport, but also as a sanitary vehicle, etc.
This is definitely a very welcome addition to the Microsoft Flight Simulator fleet, although we don’t know when exactly it will be released. We’ll be following the progress and you can read all about it when FlightFX shares the news in our daily report.
