MANILA, Philippines—Another Pacquiao boxing.
Michael Pacquiao, the second of Manny Pacquiao’s five children, played his first amateur game at the BF Parañaque Phase 1 Gymnasium on Sunday.
20-year-old Pacquiao prevailed, defeating Nathaniel Ruiz by unanimous decision.
Pacquiao, who has an burgeoning music career, shook his nose, which was bleeding from Ruiz’s fist, in the first round.
The eldest of the siblings, Michael’s brother, Jimuel, was the first to try his hand at boxing.
Jimuel had several amateur fights in the United States while training at Freddie Roach’s legendary Wild Card Gym in Hollywood.
But unlike Jimuel, who is keen to pursue his boxing career, Michael is more interested in pursuing his career as a rap artist.
