Spike Chunsoft introduced six new ones Master Detective Archives: Rain Code characters, and they’re just as quirky and crazy as you’d expect. Each of these master detectives has unique abilities; for example, one can pass through walls in ghost form, while the other can locate any living creature within 50 meters.

Originally opened in 2021 as Enigma Archives: Rain Code, Archive of the master detective will follow an illegal detective organization tasked with uncovering unsolved mysteries. The game is under development Danganronpa company by writer Kazutaka Kodaka, so you know what to expect if you’ve played this game: a rich, melodramatic narrative and lots of fun detective gameplay.

You can also look forward to a unique cast of characters, six of which were introduced today. Each of them has a ‘Forensic Forte’, a special power that helps them do their job. The first is Vivia Twilight, a “decadent and aesthetic” detective who can enter ghost form and pass through solid objects.

Your next new character is the brilliantly named Aphex Logan, who is a violent brawler who seeks to solve as many problems as possible through violence. It can find any living creature within 50 meters.

Next is Zange Eraser, a senior detective with shady ties to the government structure. His forensic forte is the ability to transcribe his memories onto electronic objects such as smartphones.

This charming guy is Oleksandr Zilch, who likes short and to the point conversations. He has the ability to control animals to gather intelligence, which means he can slip into places that humans normally can’t get to.

This young man is Desuhiko Thunderbolt, a “fool” with a penchant for dumping women and the ability to disguise himself “visually and psychologically.” You can see how this will come in handy in a detective adventure!

And last but not least, there is Halara Nightmare, a mercenary detective who “believes only in money” and will not accept a request without payment. Looks like Halari has been paid to expose too many times, eh? As for forensic Forte, Halara can see the crime scene as it looked when it was first discovered.

As you can see, you will have quite a few characters to meet Master Detective Archives: Rain Code.
