I’m excited to tell you about the next chapter in the legendary story of Mortal Kombat. It couldn’t be a better time to go back to the beginning! Last year we celebrated 30 years of Mortal Kombat, and this year we’re making our debut Mortal Kombat 1.
Very fast! Let’s speed everyone up. At the end of Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath storyline, the fire god Liu Kang defeats Shang Tsung and reclaims the Kronika crown. He then uses her hourglass to reset the universe into a peaceful, prosperous reality like the world we know, but shaped by his noble hand… but things don’t always go according to plan.

Mortal Kombat 1 is now available for pre-order for Xbox Series X|S on the Xbox Store, including Standard, Premium and Collector’s Editions. Those who pre-order the Xbox Series X|S will receive Shang Tsung as an in-game character and access to Mortal Kombat 1 A beta version that will be available in August 2023.
