Return to Silent Hillmovie based on the motives Silent Hill 2 games from Konami, began casting actors for the film.
According to Deadlinedirected by Christoph Hans, the film stars Jeremy Irvine (War Horse) and Hannah Emily Anderson (Puzzle).
Filming is scheduled to begin in April in Eastern Europe and Germany.
Based on Silent Hill 2, Return to Silent Hill tells the story of James Sunderland, whose wife has died. After receiving a letter from her three years after her death, he returns it to the town of Silent Hill, which has been turned by evil.
He finds the city riddled with scary scenes and monsters old and new.
The script of the film was written by Hans, Sandra Vaughan and William Joseph Schneider. Hans worked with the Silent Team, the original creators at Konami.
Victor Hadida, producer of The Raven and Silent Hill franchises, will produce the film under his Davis Films banner. Hassell Free Productions’ Molly Hassell and David Wolfe will also produce.
The first Silent Hill movie was released in 2006, starring Sean Bean and Radha Mitchell. It grossed over $100 million.
