The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, the upcoming adventure game set 8 years before the original Lord of the Rings movie, has already experienced several delays. But luckily, the wait is almost over as The Lord of the Rings: Gollum is finally coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC later this week.
Originally published in 2019, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum was slated for a 2021 release. Nacon then announced numerous delays over the years, but eventually settled on a May 2023 release for most platforms. The upcoming title will also appear on the Nintendo Switch, but a release date for the Switch version has yet to be announced.
But if you’re planning to buy a copy of The Lord Of The Rings: Gollum for PlayStation, Xbox or PC, here’s everything you need to know.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum Release date and time
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will be released Thursday, May 25 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Depending on your chosen platform, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum release time may vary depending on your platform and region.
According to PlayStation Store page for Lord of the Rings: Gollum release time 1am PT / 4am ET / 9am ET. Unfortunately, the Xbox store page doesn’t give an exact launch time, but it’s likely to follow a schedule similar to the PlayStation consoles. As for the PC, then Steam store page the state indicates the release time 9:00 AM PT / 12:00 PM ET / 5:00 PM ET.
The Lord of the Rings: Pre-Order Bonuses and All Editions
According to The Lord Of The Rings: Gollum’s official website, there will be two editions available for purchase. The standard edition simply comes with the base game, while the digital precious edition comes with the following items:
- Full game
- Art exhibition
- Compendium of knowledge
- Original soundtrack
- Sindarin V.O
