Genshin Impact developer HoyoVerse is about to release version 3.5, but they’ve already revealed the new characters coming with 3.6.
In particular, we learn that the first new character will be Baiju. I say “new” loosely because it will be playable recently. Baizhu was actually introduced as an NPC back in version 1.0, and he’s finally been added to the game roster.
He is the owner of the “Bubu” pharmacy, and his slogan is “Beyond the limits of morality.” It is associated with the element Dendro and the constellation Lagenaria. This is how he is described and his art.
“There is a pharmacy in Liyue called Bubu, and Dr. Baizhu is there. His skill cures all diseases, but his medicine is truly bitter!”

Next we get Kaveh, a famous Sumerian architect whose slogan is “Empyrean Reflection”. He is also a Dendro character and his constellation is Heaven.

Meanwhile, we are still waiting for the next update under the number 3.5 and under the title “Windbloom’s Breath.“ March 1 will come and will bring pyro character Deohu and more.
If you’re not familiar with Genshin Impact, it’s currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android. A Nintendo Switch version was announced a long time ago, but HoYoverse kept it quiet and hasn’t said anything since, despite confirming several times that it hasn’t been canceled. We’ll have to wait and see if 2023 will finally be the year of Genshin on a Nintendo console.
