There’s good news if your Forza Horizon 5 experience is starting to get a little gray around the edges; Microsoft and developer Playground Games are announcing the next expansion for the open-world racer this Thursday, February 23rd.

This mysterious new addition will be the second paid addition to Forza Horizon 5, following last year’s Hot Wheels update. It introduced what Microsoft called “the most extreme tracks ever created” high above Mexico, as well as ten new vehicles.

There’s no hint that Playground Games has anything in store for expansion #2 – I took a quick look open the announcement of Art and it didn’t turn out so smart, but Microsoft previously said it would add “new locations, vehicles, and gameplay.” Or maybe when you launch it, it just promises to give you a copy of Call of Duty for the next ten years.

All will be revealed this Thursday 23 February at 5pm UK/9am PT during Playground Games’ live announcement stream on Twitch.

Today’s details follow last month’s news that six members of the Playground Games team, including Forza Horizon 5 creative director Mike Brown, had left the studio to found new developer Maverick Games, which is currently working on an “exciting title of ultra-high quality”.
