Pokemon weather
Unfortunately, something like this is probably the most realistic option for another Pokemon-themed lifestyle app. Shamelessly silly like the best of them.
It’s just the weather. This is it. Only this time, cute weather-themed pictures will pop up on your lock screen to tell you the daily forecast (Pikachu in thunder, Altaria for cloud, Solrock in sunshine—you get the idea).
Maybe there will be a fun little feature where you can see the weather for, say, Kanto for this week. Of course, you will have to pay extra for this privilege, but who would refuse the opportunity to get such a useful tool??
Pokémon Finance
Since the bills are clearly defined as “electricity” and “water,” we’re surprised TPC hasn’t tried to create some kind of money planning app.
We mean, what could be more indicative of the cost-of-living crisis than a little animation of a sweaty Pikachu that pops up on your screen every time you get your monthly bill?
Okay, sure, so it might “interfere” with an otherwise “urgently important task”, but hey, at least it’ll make it possible to use menu headings like Save your Pica Pennies as the symbolic form of the chest, Himmigul slowly empties in the corner.
Pokémon Speak
With language learning apps like Duolingo, it’s certainly only a matter of time before we start learning fictional languages like the ones spoken by Pokemon.
You will be able to take courses of various lengths that will introduce you to all the necessary words from “Pika” to, Well“Pika-Pika”.
Yes, some of them may be easier to learn than those on Duolingo, but at least you can visit Hoenn and feel like one of the locals.
Pokémon Relax
Pokémon Sleep is a good night’s rest, so how about an app that helps you wind down after a busy day? Think popular apps like Headspace or Calm, but with the Pokémon anime theme playing softly on a harp in the background. mmmm I know this is my destiny…
A series of meditation sessions probably centered around an image of Charmander sitting peacefully on a pillow actually sounds pretty nice to us. It’s actually very similar to the ASMR videos that the Pokémon Company periodically releases (see below).
There may even be a few manifesting programs recorded in the sweet tones of, we don’t know, Stephen Fry repeating positive affirmations such as “I morning the best” and “I will be catch them all.”
