FIFA 23 players on PC and current-gen consoles will soon need to download Title Update 8, which fixes an Ultimate Team bug where referees are dressed in the same colors as one of the teams, making it difficult to distinguish a referee from a teammate or opponent.
The new patch also fixes a number of other bugs in Ultimate Team, Pro Clubs and VOLTA football. One bug that is being addressed is an issue that was causing stability issues for PC players whenever they opened a pack in Ultimate Team.
EA is also updating certain uniforms, stadiums, hairstyles, mascots, headgear, pre-match scenes and badges in a future patch to keep the in-game representation in line with real-world changes at certain clubs.

- Resolved other cases where referees incorrectly wore uniforms of the same color as one of the teams participating in the match.
- (PC only) Fixed a stability issue that could occur when opening packages.
Professional clubs x VOLTA FOOTBALL
- In rare cases, the camera could incorrectly track the player with the AI CPU in VOLTA ARCADE.
General, audio and video
- Updated some badges, kits, stickers, hairstyles, stadiums, star heads, pre-match scenes, hats, mascots, stadium themes, tattoos, balls, art kits, VIP areas, pitch props, fan flags and gloves.
- When editing a player, height and weight values were sometimes not displayed.
- Fixed several stability issues that may have occurred.
Although the developer has not announced a specific time for the release of Title Update 8, it usually arrives within 24 hours of the announcement. So, you can expect its release later today. The file size is currently unknown.
FIFA 23 will be the last installment of EA Sports’ FIFA-branded soccer sim, as EA Sports will rebrand the game to EA Sports FC with its upcoming release. Electronic Arts has reportedly already reached an agreement with the British Premier League for a sponsorship and license agreement. However, it remains unclear how EA Sports FC will be able to cover future domestic tournaments such as the World Cup without a licensing agreement with FIFA.
