Fate 2 player UnknownShardV1 recently discovered that Antaeus Wards exotic leg armor can deal total damage on a Void Titan shield roll, allowing one-shot Guardians in the Crucible. If timed correctly with Antaeus Wards’ enhanced glide ability, the Titan’s shield throw will hit the Ward in one shot with high durability. The lethality of the shield throw can be caused by additional shield bounces after an increased slide. Shield of the Void makes contact with an enemy Ward three times after being thrown according to UnknownShardV1 and these extra hits can be caused by the Antaeus Wards forehead shield perk. This discovery could make Antaeus Wards one of the modern ones the best Titan Exotics in Fate 2 for PvP content.

Antaeus Wards Exotic allows Void Titans to deflect damage and projectiles for 0.45s with a 180° frontal shield after sprinting and sliding. When equipped, the Titan’s Skating receives a passive 33% increase in glide distance, allowing the player to glide further than normal. Although precise timing is required, Antaeus Wards’ frontal shield can deflect grenades and missiles back at enemies in Fate 2.

This new trick with Antaeus Wards can be useful in several Crucible modes, as the Titan can easily survive a quick one-on-one encounter. In addition, Void Titans have higher survivability due to the Overshield ability that activates after a kill with a shield throw. Fate 2 However, players may need practice to ensure that the shield throw is capable of dealing enough damage for a one-shot kill. Other Void Titans and Guardians with high durability can survive the shield roll if aided by Warlock’s rift or upper shield.

Antaeus Wards can be useful in new PvE content Fate 2 Season of the Deep. The Titan’s improved gliding and shield throwing abilities will help players clear waves of enemies in upcoming seasonal events.

Fate 2 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
