Next chapter Dead in daylight brings sci-fi horror to action horror with a new map and a killer on the loose.
The events of the next chapter take place on a mysterious planet on which the remains of an ancient civilization are located. The map called “Transmission’s End” is a unique biome with menacing flora, and the Singularity lurks within it.
Reconstructed from organic matter and machine parts, this monstrous creature seeks to assimilate all organic life and become the ideal life form.
An enlightened AI corrupted by alien technology, The Singularity can spy on Survivors anywhere on the map, has high intelligence, and can spread its presence through restructured organic matter with its BioPods.
Placed on vertical surfaces, the Singularity can transmit its consciousness to the BioPods to spy on the Survivors and attempt to move them to change in their place. The Slipstream effect allows the Singularity to materialize behind the Survivor and give chase immediately. A survivor fully protected by the slide will spread the effect to other nearby survivors. You will have to rethink your strategies because the power of The Singularity can turn cooperation upside down.
More dangers await the planet and Toba’s landing. The new map consists of three notable areas. One depicts the buildings left over from Huxley’s greedy corporation, the second an ominous jungle, and the third the remnants of an ancient civilization.
Along with the chapter comes a new Survivor, Gabriel Soma, a technician who has so far survived the Singularity, avoiding the terrible fate of his crewmates.
Gabriel is nimble and uses a tool called an EMP randomly placed around the map in front of the Singularity. EMP can be used to temporarily disable Killer’s BioPods or remove the Slipstream effect from other Survivors.
End Transmission also offers two alien costumes for The Singularity and Gabriel. Huxlee’s Hybrid Cosmetic by Singularity shows more robotic matter absorbed into his body, while Gabriel’s EVA Suit cosmetic dresses him in protective gear.
After the launch of End Transmission, other collections will be available, starting with the new Waterfront Massacre cosmetics, Twisted Masquerade cosmetics and the futuristic collection.
End Transmission releases on June 13 for PS5, PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. It will be available on PC via Steam, Epic Games Store and Windows Store.
A new survivor is added to the mix, and it’s none other than Nicolas Cage. The award-winning actor will appear in The Mist as himself, and you can find out more about his inclusion next month on July 5.
