NecroDancer developer Brace Yourself Games’ Cadence of Hyrule and Crypt has reportedly let go of half its workforce.
According to now-former senior producer Crystal Savin, she was only at the studio for four months before being fired. She also notes that Studio for 43 people the number was cut by 50%, which would bring the total workforce closer to 20 employees.
It is with a (very) heavy heart that I have recently been affected by a 50% downsizing of my studio workforce after only 4 months with the company.

In addition, an an ex-employee reported on Twitter that they left the studio earlier this week for a new journey. It is not clear if they affected the dismissal.
Recently, many different studios have laid off employees, including Ubisoft, Amazon, Goaland Phoenix Laboratories.
Brace Yourself Games is best known for Crypt of the Necrodancer, as well as its Legend of Zelda crossover game Cadence of Hyrule. The studio is set to release a Rift of the NecroDancer spin-off sometime this year.
The studio has not yet made any official announcements about the layoffs. GameSpot has reached out to Brace Yourself Games for comment.
