In a recent tweet posted by the company’s CEO Diablo Rod Ferguson, it became known that at the moment Blizzard does not plan to involve Diablo 4 to Xbox Game Pass.
The tweet shared a bit of people’s excitement about the upcoming beta release, as well as the limited edition Wolf Pack Pup that players will be able to get after reaching level 20 during the test. Rod Ferguson then states that the company has often received inquiries about the possibility of a release Diablo 4 on Xbox Game Pass.
Microsoft has been trying to acquire Blizzard since January 18, 2022, and while it’s all on the back burner for now, it leaves room for doubt as to whether the final installment Diablo series will be added to Game Pass. However, Ferguson’s answer was quite clear, as he said that the company has no plans to bring the game to the service at the moment. This doesn’t mean that it will never happen, it just means that Blizzard has no plans for it at this point.
It’s amazing to see the hype surrounding the Diablo IV beta and our Wolfpack puppy! We’ve had a few questions about D4 regarding Game Pass, and I want to let you know that we don’t plan on doing that. See you at Sanctuary for the Early Access Beta Weekend starting March 17th!

It would be great to see it in Game Pass someday, but no dice at the moment. Blizzard has always followed the same modus operandi when it came to releasing a game. There are usually at least three different game levels to purchase, each with perks like moves, pets, transmog, and extra goodies. So it’s no surprise that they’ve decided to stick to the familiar release path they’ve been on for quite some time. Besides, there is already something to look forward to Diablo 4 in its current state, such as beta and its early accessand of course, pets and collectibles for over-diligence and buying the Ultimate Edition.
Diablo 4 released on June 6, 2023 and will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
