An Animal Crossing fan finds the iconic Froggy Chair in a rather unexpected place, graffiti in a club in Wales.


A club might not be the first place where you might expect a casual date Animal Crossing link, but that’s exactly what one fan in the UK recently discovered when they found the beloved Froggy Chair graffitied on a wall. Nintendo’s colorful life-sim series has been mesmerizing fans for over 20 years, so it’s no wonder fans are raving Animal Crossing known in a variety of ways, including random graffiti on walls.


Many elements Animal Crossing have gained cult status among players for decades. Recurring characters such as Tom Nook and Isabelle loved by millions of fans, and the cozy gameplay inspired a fair share of competitors in this genre. As far as icons go, few have been as adorable or endearing as the Froggy Chair, a piece of furniture whose emoticon amphibian has been winning hearts since the days of the Nintendo GameCube.

The frog-themed seating is so popular that it has led to it being mentioned outside Animal Crossing quite often, including recent appearances cameo in the episode Spongebob Squarepants. And now another appearance courtesy of a Reddit user known as DefectiveHumour, who shared a photo of a Froggy Chair graffiti doodle at a club in Cardiff, Wales. It’s not known who doodled it there, but whoever did it added their own extra touch by giving it a pair of slanted eyebrows that make the normally friendly chair look a little mischievous. DefectiveHumour has over 1,600 upvotes on Reddit as of this writing, so it’s safe to say people are loving this latest one Appearance of Foggy Chair. While the post didn’t specify which club they found the graffiti in, some comments pointed to NQ64, a club in Cardiff that offers a wide selection of games to customers, including customizations for classic Nintendo 64 and GameCube games.
